Friday Favorites #2: Friends, Fun, & Football

Hey hey hey everyone! Happy weekend!! Is it just me or did this week seem to fly by? My crazy week of work may have had something to do with it, but nonetheless I am SO excited the weekend is back. Yesterday my company offered me two suite level tickets to the Seattle Seahawks opening Pre-Season game, so today after work, Bart and I are heading into the city to pre-game and get ready for our hawks to begin football season! I absolutely love football, so it will definitely be a fun way to kickoff the weekend as well as another Superbowl season (fingers crossed!).

Life In Leggings

In normal Friday fashion, I’m teaming up with Heather to bring you my Friday Favorites. This week I had a pretty good mix of things that caught my eye, so hopefully you find at least one thing you can try in your own life 🙂

nerf gun

My new Nerf gun— Yes, this one is a bit ridiculous, but if you work in an office like mine it is totally necessary. This baby was on sale at Target this week, so I decided to finally pull the trigger (no pun intended) and join in on my office battle. Yes, we actually do get a lot of work done, but I definitely work in an environment that LOVES to have fun!

coconut water

One Coconut Water— Before our road trip last weekend, Bart stopped off at the gas station and loaded up on snacks for the drive including this coconut water. I usually don’t like the boxed coconut water as much because it has somewhat of a cardboard taste, but this one was delicious! It may have been even better because I was dying of thirst when I got in the car and found it, but nonetheless, I thought it deserved to make it on my list for the week.

smoothie

My Favorite Breakfast Smoothie— Recipe time! After a tough morning spin and my first run since my injury (as approved by my physical therapist), I was in the mood for a good ole’ smoothie Thursday morning. Into the blender went:

1 banana

Frozen strawberries

A handful of spinach

1/2 cup vanilla yogurt

A spoonful of Peanut Butter

About 3/4 cup of Almond Milk (Enough to get things moving)

It completely hit the spot and kept me full throughout the entire morning, which is saying something since lately I’ve felt like I have a bottomless pit for a stomach. I guess that just means I get to keep eating yummy foods, so no complaints here 🙂

weddings

Weddings–For those of you who read my Monday post, you know I traveled back home to attend the wedding of two of my really good high school friends this past weekend. Bart and I had a blast catching up with old friends and watching such a beautiful ceremony. I’ve heard after college a lot of people get married right away and you start attending weddings all the time, so I’m pretty stoked to see more of my friends get engaged soon!

tix

Football Tickets!— Yeah I know I already mentioned this one, but I had no idea Bart and I would get to go to the game this weekend so I have to include it as one of my favorites! 🙂

Aaaand that’s a wrap! Another week down for the count. I’m off to attempt another run this morning and then head into work. Have a fabulous weekend!

Do you enjoy football season?

What are your plans for the weekend?
